Dr. Adam Francis
Dr. Adam Francis always dreamed of being a dentist from the time he was very young. This dream became a reality for him when he graduated from Cardenal Herrera University in Valencia in 2019.
Born in Gibraltar at the tip of Spain, Adam grew up in their relatively small community of just 30,000 people. Living in a coastal community, Adam developed an interest in rowing and even made it onto the First Rowing Team of Gibraltar. The regular training needed to maintain the edge in competitive rowing gave Adam a strong sense of self-discipline and persistence which he has carried into his professional career.
Before university, Adam was lucky enough that he was able to shadow a dentist. The more time he spent being involved with the profession, meeting new people daily and getting to impact patient’s lives, the more sure he became that dentistry was the right path for him!
During his career at university, Adam quickly got used to the high standards expected of him. After moving into practice, Adam spent time getting hands-on experience with NHS patients in high-needs areas. Every day was fast-paced, but exciting. He found he had a particular talent for crowns and dentures.
He loves creating crowns and dentures, not only because of their visual aesthetic value for improving patient appearance, but also for functionality. A crown or denture doesn’t just need to look good – it has to work. Adam prides himself on creating crowns and dentures that do both.
Adam loves being a dentist, because every day is different. Even if he’s doing the same procedure, every patient offers him a new experience and a new opportunity to learn. Whilst he doesn’t consider himself a perfectionist, Adam says he feels a need to improve every day and always strives to be better. As a dentist, there is never a day where you lower your standards – you can only go up!
