Dr. Bilal Salam

Dr. Bilal Salam graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2012, though he had already amassed considerable experience in patient management by that time through his role as an optometrist.  He has always been driven to help others, and felt that he could impact even more lives as a dentist – so he decided to change his career.

Bilal is known for his calm demeanor, making him excellent at treating patients who suffer from dental anxiety.

Bilal is enthusiastic about everyday dentistry, but also loves tackling complex cases, especially in prosthodontics – his area of interest includes crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, and implants. To further his expertise, he is currently completing an MSc in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the University of Manchester.

He also holds membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, reflecting his commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care. Bilal aims to deliver high-quality, minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry. He focuses on delivering care that is not only effective but also gentle and pain-free, ensuring a positive experience for his patients.

Outside of everyday practice, Bilal works as the lead clinical teacher on the undergraduate restorative clinic at Manchester Dental Hospital. Helping to shape the next generation of dentists. Bilal’s passion for mentorship and education is further evidenced by his teaching qualifications.

Away from professional responsibilities, Bilal cherishes his time with his toddler daughter and enjoys reconnecting with friends and family over the weekends. He focuses on putting family first, and believes that having a loving, supportive family to rely on is key to personal development and attaining your own goals.
