Dr. Abdur-Rahman Ismail, or Abz as his patients and friends fondly call him, is one of our expert Synergy dentists. He mainly focuses on oral surgery and is skilled in conscious sedation.
Dr. Ismail obtained his BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from The University of Liverpool in July 2008. He furthered his qualifications by achieving the MFDS RCS (Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery) from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010.
Continuing his academic pursuits, he completed a PGCert ClinEd (Postgraduate Level Advanced Certificate in Clinical Education) from The Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow in 2017 and a PGCert Imp (Postgraduate Level Certificate in Implantology) from ICE Post Graduate Institute & Hospital in Salford in2018.
Dr. Abz is one of those people who always wants to be learning something new. On top of his university education, he has taken courses on immediate life support, cross infection control, and safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
Dr. Ismail is also dedicated to improving the field of dentistry, and his paper on “Oral Surgery Referrals: A Review of Quality and Appropriateness,” was presented at the BAOS & EFOSS International Conference in Edinburgh in 2010.
