Synergy Dental Clinics offering grants for dental implants

A Bolton-based dental clinic is offering grants for those unable to afford high-end dental implants.

Synergy Dental Clinics has announced the launch of a new grant scheme to help people who cannot typically afford dental treatment.

The grants are specifically for dental implants, which are not currently offered by the NHS.

Using titanium screws replicating the natural tooth root, dental implants provide a permanent solution for missing teeth.

Synergy Dental Clinics’ grant funding is available for same-day implant treatment.

The company said it decided to limit the grant funding to this treatment as it is not currently available on the NHS.

Although the clinic has set its prices to be among the ‘most affordable’ for dental implants in the country, with finance options, these costs can still be too high for some patients.

Synergy Dental Clinics has developed strong relationships with Straumann, a ‘leader’ in dental implant technology, enabling the clinic to offer dental implants at reduced prices.

The clinic ‘places more Straumann dental implants than any other in the North West’, allowing it to access direct-from-supplier discounts.

The grant funding is not supported by the government; instead, it is backed by the clinic itself, using its profits to make dental implants more affordable for those who cannot otherwise afford them.

Eligible patients can receive up to £5,000 towards the cost of their same-day implant treatment at participating Synergy clinics.

Patients from across the country can apply for the grant funding, provided they are able to travel to a participating clinic.

Each grant application is reviewed by a member of the clinic’s assessment team to ensure fairness.

People can apply for the grant through the Synergy Dental website

The clinic started the initiative after launching its dental implants nominations last year, inviting patients to nominate someone for free dental implants.

The response from the community was ‘overwhelming’, showing a ‘significant need’ for dental implant treatment in the North West.

This led the clinic to come up with the idea of providing grant funding for patients who cannot access same-day implants.
