What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are often used to treat scars and wrinkles, and can help fight off the signs of ageing. They are a great alternative for those who don’t want to go through cosmetic surgery. Our fillers are administered by fully qualified and trained practitioners, so you know you’re in safe hands. The filler itself has a smooth consistency – unlike other granular hyaluronic gel products – improving the overall appearance and leaving you with the best possible smoothing, lifting, and tightening.
What products are used?
At Synergy Dental, our practitioners use a range of different products. Primarily, we use Juvederm treatment, the number 1 chosen filler in the US, but you may choose a different product from our range. If you are unsure, your practitioner will guide you and recommend the best product for your needs. We only use semi-permanent products (lasting anywhere from 9 months to a year) which is ideal if you’re unsure about fully committing to a new aesthetic.
How is the procedure done?
Before your treatment, one of our fully-qualified practitioners will guide you through the full process of the treatment to ensure you have an understanding of what is involved. This is your chance to ask any questions you may have.
The treatment itself is quick and simple. During your session, one of our practitioners will administer the dermal fillers using a series of small injections to the area you wish to treat. This usually causes little to no pain, but any discomfort can be minimised with the help of an injection or cream-based local anaesthetic. The whole procedure should take around 30 minutes, but may take longer depending on the size and number of areas treated.
Dermal fillers have a very short recovery period, though we still recommend taking it easy for the first day. You may experience some soreness and swelling at first, but these symptoms should decline within 24-48 hours.
For more information on our specialised area treatment, book in with us for an initial consultation. This will allow you and the practitioner to discuss the treatment and what you’re looking to achieve.
