What is Composite Bonding?
Composite bonding has emerged as a favourite among cosmetic dental treatments. It’s effective for a range of dental problems, but is especially recommended for minor damages like chipped teeth and fractures. It has the ability to match the shade of your existing teeth, ensuring a seamless and natural appearance. Our methods use a minimally invasive procedure with no drilling, injections or pain. It is a simple procedure that can be handled in just two appointments, making it the go-to solution for minor cosmetic procedures.
Using the Nano-Hybrid Composite Bonding technique developed by industry-leader Venus, our skilled dental practitioner will mould and shape our unique bonding material to your teeth. Think of it as a cover for your teeth – allowing us to change the shape, size, and shade of your teeth. Unlike veneers or crowns, however, Composite Bonding adheres smoothly to your natural tooth and does not require any shaving of the teeth, making the process fully reversible.
Our technique encompasses less than half the shrinkage stress level of other leading techniques delivered by our competitors and envelopes almost three times the high flexural strength levels. When lesser quality materials are used, there’s a risk of the bonding coming away from the teeth, resulting in increased sensitivity and tooth decay due to bacteria entering between the composite and the natural tooth. Because we only work with the best materials available in the industry, we are able to provide longer lasting results that are better for your health and appearance.
You can also pair our Composite Bonding treatments with Invisalign® to ensure your smile is straight before we adjust the size, shape, and shade of your teeth. This is a longer process and can be discussed with your dentist at your consultation appointment.

Composite Bonding in 3 simple steps
1. Composite Bonding Consultation
During your initial consultation, you will get the chance to ask any questions you like about the procedure. We will then take several images of your teeth, but also your facial shape and structure to use as a reference for scale to make sure your teeth will suit the rest of your face. We will also take x-rays and a digital scan and then digitally design your new smile.
We will produce a virtual mock-up of your new smile so you can get an idea of what it will look like. You can bring us photographs of a smile you’d like to copy or of your old smile that you’d like to restore to help us get a better idea of what you’d like your final smile to look like.
If you decide to go ahead with the treatment, we will create a trial smile for you to test, and get you booked in for your next appointment.
Trial Smile – Test Drive!
During this appointment, you will test your trial smile. This is your last chance to check you are happy with the size, shape, and shade before our dentist goes ahead with the composite bonding.
2. Composite Bonding Procedure
Dental bonding, also known as composite bonding, is a straightforward and budget-friendly procedure that stands out in the realm of cosmetic dentistry. Its versatility is unmatched, catering to everything from chips and fractures to overall cosmetic enhancements.
One of its major benefits is the ability to blend perfectly with your natural tooth shade, ensuring a cohesive look. If you’re dealing with minor dental imperfections, our dentists at Synergy Dental Clinic might suggest dental bonding as the go-to solution.
3. Your New Smile
Our procedure is straightforward and painless. You won’t need any anaesthetic or sedatives, and we won’t shave your teeth. Your dentist will expertly mould our Nano-Hybrid Composite Bonding to your desired shape and size, blending the shade seamlessly to match your natural teeth. The process is then cured with a UV light to seal the bond onto your teeth.
Congratulations on your new, radiant smile achieved through dental bonding! To keep it shining bright, it’s essential to adopt a diligent oral care routine.
This includes regular brushing with a soft-bristled toothbrush, daily flossing, and the use of an oral irrigator to reach those tricky spots along the gumline. Additionally, be mindful of consuming stain-causing foods and drinks. We recommend joining Synplan for further checkups and maintenance to ensure the continuing health and longevity of your new smile.
