Dr Bilal Salam is an experienced and compassionate dentist known for his calm, gentle approach—particularly appreciated by patients who feel nervous or anxious about dental treatment.
Originally training as an optometrist, Bilal later pursued a career in dentistry to make a broader impact in healthcare. He has a strong interest in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, with advanced training in crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, and dental implants. He holds an MSc in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics from the University of Manchester and a postgraduate diploma in Implant and Restorative Dentistry.
Bilal is committed to delivering high-quality, minimally invasive dentistry that looks natural and feels comfortable. He aims to make each patient’s visit as relaxed and pain-free as possible.
In addition to his clinical work, Bilal teaches undergraduate dentistry at Manchester Dental Hospital, helping to train and mentor future dentists. He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Outside of work, Bilal enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, and values strong family connections as the foundation of a happy, healthy life.
