A Blackpool dentist is celebrating further recognition in his profession just weeks after scooping a top local award. Dr Zuber Bagasi, clinical director of the Synergy Dental Clinic in Central Drive , won Blackpool Dentist of the Year after more than 100 local patients nominated him for the title in the Best of Health Awards. They praised his professionalism, excellent manner and high quality of work. Now, 30 year-old Dr Bagasi has also won Highly Commended in the Business Person of the Year category in the Bolton and Bury Business Awards.
Dr Bagasi – who has also opened clinics in Birmingham, Bolton, Bury and in Paisley, Scotland over the last few years – was delighted with this second success so soon after the Blackpool title.
“I was really honoured to receive the Blackpool award and it is a great reflection on myself and my team, especially as it involved nominations from patients,” he said. “Then to take Highly Commended in these Business Awards was doubly satisfying.”
The Blackpool surgery, in common with the other Synergy Dental surgeries, specialises in the latest dental technology including implants in which Dr Bagasi has a special interest. He lectures on dental implants and mentors other dental implant surgeons throughout the country. Dr Bagasi is not only a spokesman for his
profession with an interest in helping young dentists develop but no stranger to awards as well as the Blackpool and Bolton awards, last year he won Highly Commended in the British Dental Association regional awards’ Best Young Dentist category. And both he and his Blackpool clinic have appeared regularly in the Best Practice shortlist. Staff at the Blackpool clinic were delighted about this latest double honour for Dr Bagasi.
