Invisible Braces – What You Need to Know

Some patients feel apprehensive when opting for a newer method of orthodontic treatment such as Invisalign invisible braces. It’s understandable when the tried and tested method of traditional braces still exist.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a series of clear aligners, moulded to fit snugly over your teeth.

How does it work?

Each set of clear aligners slightly alters the position of your teeth. You change these aligners every two weeks for the course of your treatment. The aligners guide the gradual movement of your teeth over time.

Does it work?

Invisalign can correct crowding, gaps and twisted teeth just as well as traditional braces. Don’t just take our word for it – head over to our Smile Gallery where you can see some of our real Invisalign before and after cases.

How invisible is it?

From a conversational distance, Invisalign is totally unnoticeable. The aligners can stain with certain drinks, however, so must be removed unless you are drinking plain water.

Can I still eat normally?

Yes – you must remove your aligners to eat, so you can eat all your favourite food as normal.

How much does Invisalign cost?

Prices for Invisalign range from £1,750 for a very mild case with just 7 aligners, up to £3,750 for unlimited aligners. How many aligners you require depends on the complexity of your case.

Is there any pain involved?

You will encounter some mild discomfort for the first few days of your treatment, and when you replace your aligners. Many patients that have tried both Invisalign and traditional braces say that Invisalign is much more comfortable and less painful than traditional braces.
